Help! My left thumb is broken. :(

Well, the good news is, I only have another month or so with this cast on my left hand. I was in a bad car accident, and when we hit, I put my hand forward to brace myself. The airbag deployed, hit my thumb, dislocated it, and broke it.

I can still type, but playing most games is a bit difficult. So far, I've been subsiding on Command and Conquer and Final Fantasy games. Does anyone else know of any good console or GBA games that don't require a whole lot of coordination? Is Fire Emblem anything like Shining Force?

Thanks in advance!

That sucks. Coincidentally, I fractured my left thumb last summer, so I feel your pain. It still aches at times if I use it a lot.

RPGs and Strategy games will serve you well. I played a lot of Disgaea, Phantom Brave, Culdcept and SMT: Nocturne on my PS2 while my thumb was healing.

I would think using a joystick would be easier than using that small GBA pad. So I say play something like Xenosaga, by the time you beat it you should be healed (plus all those cutscenes will give you plenty of downtime).

I broke my right wrist several years back in a motorcycle accident and was only able to play Wavarace 64 for several weeks, let's just say that I became an expert at Waverace 64!!

I broke my elbow the day GTA: San Andreas came out. I quickly learnt that you can still drive fairly well with one hand :-)

Maybe it's a bad idea considering your car accident - but wouldn't it be possible to play a racing game with a steering wheel using only your right hand? If so, GT4 + racing wheel = lots of time (and money) spent.
