Paramount's chain of amusement parks is considering a change of name. Possibly to CBS or, God Forbid, MTV. I will NOT enter MTV's King's Island. On the plus side, if you fill out this survey, you can help those poor helpless fools at Paramount choose from a variety of names, including my favorite....

ELECTRONIC ARTS PARKS! :lol

I chose that option and then scolded them on how lame CBS' licensing was. Unless I were to ride a Everybody Loves Raymond roller coaster. You may also choose Sony. Your amusement may vary.

Help Us Please!

Its amazing how I fucking WORK at a Paramount Park and no one told us about the CBS thing, although I did hear it on the news...

Why would you want Electronic Arts to take over the park? What do they have to offer that the others don't?

John Madden for one! Turducken snack stands could be placed throughout the park, and a Brett Favre Slingin' & Slangin' Mega Experience theme ride could be opened.

This poll is rigged.

Poll: "Select who you want to take over the park"
Me: "I do not want ANY corporate name on my park"
Poll: Good, now select 4"
Me: ":("

What changes would you expect to see at Canada's Wonderland if CBS took over the park?

Another change of ownership.

hehe.

Heh, Great America is somewhat near me. I vaguely recall seeing a commercial for it, once.

I don't know why, but I think the idea of Coca-Cola buying out a theme park is hilarious... although "Federal Government Land" would be amusing.

Hmm.. if Panasonic did something with them, I wonder if there would be any Nintendo connection. Heh heh heh.

Whee. Viacom is splitting into pieces. Oh joy. I'm ever so excited.

Why would you want Federal Government to take over the park? What do they have to offer that the others don't?
the people are most likely to turn the park into something other than a sham and/or hollow shell of modernity. amusement is a petty thing to spend the blood of the workers on.

I'm all for the CBS branding as long as it means there is a "Price is Right Experience" built at all of the theme parks. That would kick ass. Otherwise, there will be no change in most parks.

Dude, I've tried to convince the people in charge to get a PLINKO or other price is right themed games but its not happening :(

At Wonderland we have Sonic the Hedgehog prizes

Shadow, Sonic, Tails, Amy and Knuckles

They are awesome prizes :p

Oh and I picked Marvel cause they could offer...Spiderman!

I worked at Kings Island when it was muthafucking plain old King's Island, not Paramount's Kings Island.

So who gives a shit if they name it's MTV's Kings Island or whatever the fuck else? The damage's been done decades ago.

Why would anyone goto King's Island when you can goto Cedar Point?

Anyways, I have been to two of thier parks .. and they reek of lameness. So it doesn't really matter what they are called.

It's already been done. Universal Studios' Islands of Adventure has MARVEL Super Hero Island which includes Spiderman: The Ride, which to this day has been by favorite ride of all time.

This man speaks the truth. Spiderman is one of the greatest rides and, as a bonus, its in one of my favorite theme parks.

As for why anyone would go to King's Island over Cedar Point, they're relatively far apart so travel factors into the decision. And as far as Paramount parks go, KI is pretty much king of the hill as I understand it. It has its charms. And the Beast. :)

Wait a sec

If they rename the park, does that mean they're going to rename all the world-famous coasters with new licensed labels?

The Beast/Vortex/Racers, all historic coasters, get renamed?

If so, TEH SUQ

Here's why we're asking. Viacom, the media conglomerate that owns (among other things) CBS, MTV, Nickelodeon, Simon & Schuster, the Comedy Channel, Nick@Nite, etc will soon be splitting in half. One half will be called "Viacom" and the other half will be called "CBS."

When this split happens more than likely Kings Island and all of the other Paramount parks will be joining the CBS side of the business. The purpose of this survey was to give us some sense of what you, our guests, will think of the shift.and how much you like or care about CBS, our new owners.
