Can someone please help me.
Had issues for last 2 months now where I was getting speed on PSN @ 55mbdl/10mbup 'but' as soon as I connected to an online game my upload speed went to shit and averaged @ 300-500kbps.
Cut a long story short I couldn't do port forwarding or anything - a bug apparently with BT Home Hub 5 which wouldn't let me delete previous ps3 port forwarding and because it conflicted with new ps4 port forwarding. It only did it on my ps4 pro and not my son's ps4.
I eventually bought another router (BT Smart Hub - had to get this as my wife wasn't keen on a lot of the others that had big antennas sticking out lol!).
Anyways, been playing The Last Of Us Remastered Multiplayer but then this evening it wouldn't let me connect giving the following message:-
A Network Error Has Occurred - Failed To Download Config File
This is also happening on my sons ps4. I don't really want to get into port forwarding due to previous issues plus is it correct I need to use plug and play if more than 2 ps4's are on at the same time?
Anyway, spent hours researching and found all sorts of different things.
- Turn playstation off and on.
- Restart router.
- Unplug router.
- Rebuild database.
- Go to friends list and out and try to load game again.
- Do port forwarding.
- Put playstation in DMZ.
- Change DNS to googles etc (don't want to do this as it's not as fast as my isp's).
I tried all of these other than the last 3 and nothing. It does this on Uncharted 4 too. Battlefield 1 and Doom all work fine. All my other internet things work fine too. Web. Browser. Kodi. PlayStation Store (ps4 pro) and so on amongst all our devices.
I then got onto a feeback webpage for Naughty Dog and tried to submit a comment but it says 'Internal Server Error - Trying to get property of non-object'. I've no idea what this means and if this is a separate issue or something to do with not downloading the config file.
On this page there are other comments too saying about this issue with Uncharted 4 (like I do) but I've also seen lots of other pages to do with TLOU.
On this page, a Naughty Dog QA Team responded on 26/9/16 the following:-
"This message is displayed when a user is unable to connect to the game server. Most often this is due to being behind a firewall. You can try contacting your ISP requesting that they allow traffic to https://s3.amazonaws.com/_. "

I contacted my ISP and as usual they didn't have a clue.
Can anyone please help cos my head is done right in!
