Since Friday, I've been playing Halo on my Xbox 360, but I'm recently running into trouble. I've been passing several checkpoints from a part of the Assault on the Control Room, and stopped after the checkpoint was saved for the Super Weapon level. But when I booted up my 360, that progress was nonexistent; I was back where I started. Did I do something with the options, or is something wrong? Help me, GAF. You're my only hope.

I don't think checkpoints update your save file, you have to do "save and quit" for that

I never had that happen before, though. I'll try that next checkpoint.

I can't even reach the next checkpoint anymore. I know it seems like I'm freaking out at this behavior I don't remember, but it is, frankly. I need confirmation. Can anyone please settle this for certain?

Yes you do indeed need to click on Save and Quit. Otherwise it is wiped from the ram when the console is turned off. Remember to Save and Quit... good luck.

I cant be arsed to play that damn game again, not in the appalling 4:3 ratio, I shelled out $1000 on an HDTV for 16:9 picture settings and Hi Def... I mean I can cope with playing Halo 2 but not being able to play Halo CE on 16:9 annoys me. feck it.

Yes you do indeed need to click on Save and Quit. Otherwise it is wiped from the ram when the console is turned off. Remember to Save and Quit... good luck.
