For my film genres class we have to choose a genre and do a research paper on it - listing several films from different filmmaking eras.
I'm having trouble thinking of black/dark comedies from the 1940's, 1950's.
After that everything's peaches, I've got to choose three films, one from each era (40's to 50's, 60's to 70's, 80's to modern day).
Here's what I've brainstormed -
Dr. Strangelove
Bonnie and Clyde
Harold and Maude
The Graduate
Monty Python's Meaning of Life
Fargo
The Royal Tenenbaums
I'm probably going to go with Strangelove and Tenenbaums for the latter two choices, now I just need an early film.
Any ideas?
