OH SNAPTomat you don't play games anymore. You're not allowed to give opinions, no matter how valid they may be. Go home and play some games.
Tee. Hee.

So it begins, in sunny Santa Monica! @RiotMsPudding and I are officially Rioters, and not of the occupying kind.
Ok... so Nome was completely right about tremble and me and a few gaffers were completely wrong -_-. I hate that hero even more than magebane now; I swear like 8/13 losses on Priapus have been from a tremble. Seems like mediocre 1800s that can play him decently pick him for autowin. Infinite regen + survivability with mounds, unharassable, mounds are nearly unkillable, just presses q to tower dive you np, free teleports, a pet that can solo supports at level 11 and has a mega slow (on top of trembles mega slow), oh and he's impossible to out last hit. Did I miss anything?

Even if he's easy to win with as a mediocre 1800, there's an amazing amount of potential to him if you play him (shudder + multitasking) really well :x You almost definitely need to either have a direct counter hero to him middle, have a Jeraziah on your team OR dual mid against him. He's very easy to get a guaranteed farm with against almost any regular mid hero, that W + E combined survivability (and attack damage for lasthits) is just too good.
Ew. I have no GIF to express my feelings. I saw it coming, but didn't want to believe it.

Also, DotA 2 sucks compared to HoN in pacing, mechanics, features, etc. It may be in Beta but it still has a long way to go before catching up to HoN.
HoN 3.0 will be awesome I can't wait. Anyways, back to Terraria.
Is it because no one is playing midwars yet?
i think terraria got updated with a bunch of shit recently (?)
Oh no, I was referring to "DotA sucks compared to HoN" and the fact that no one in DotA 2 plays midwars.
well in that case, he told you why in his fucking post, but if you decided to read it instead of trying to be a sassy bitch maybe you wouldnt come off looking like a buttmad retard
Moonmeander #1 hon player?

So I got the f2p version today... Should I be fine with the free set of heroes for now? What's a good beginner char ?
Pretty standard
So at what times do you guys still play?
2.3.4 brings us...a Fallen Valkyrie Avatar.
They sure do like that new premium price.
Also been a while since the last normally silver-coins priced avatar.
ALSO! New Hero Shadowblade this friday, based off one of CAD's submission that didn't end up winning. HoN's Morphling? We'll see!
Only one I've liked is father chronos; but seriously, this "price adjustment" just straight up sucks. So we get premium gold avatars that noone cares about go from 600 gold coins to 300 coins. Then we get our silver avatars upped from 475 to 900 (which I thought was fine, 900 is OK for some of these). But the recent ones for 1500... what a joke.
So in essence the gold coin avatars that not many really care about got a 50% price cut, while the silver ones that most people buy went up 300%...
Edit, sorry it went up 600% LOL.
From 475 to 900 to 1500 to 3000, Oh s2, becoming more like riot everyday.
MMR Rework This Friday said:Since the release of matchmaking last year we have seen more of our community choose to play games utilizing the matchmaking system than we could have ever hoped for. You have all made matchmaking a success and it is only fitting that we continually try to improve upon our system to get it to where it needs to be. Although during the past year we have made many improvements to our system, the community has raised questions and asked for changes to be made in order to create a better matchmaking experience. In light of these requests we have taken some of the most pressing issues related to matchmaking and will be addressing them in a patch this week on December 9th, 2011. Along with many other features we've been working hard on, this patch will also include a complete matchmaking re-work. This re-work includes changes across all areas of matchmaking:
The "Average Wait Time" displayed when waiting for a match should now be much more accurate.
Group leaders can now select whether they prefer to have a shorter queue time or a fairer match when queueing for matchmaking, this option can be changed without leaving the matchmaking queue.
Introduced a "Provisional Ranking Period" for new players that will facilitate adjusting them to their true skill level (whether higher or lower) much faster than before.
Players with team members who have been terminated should lose less points for a loss, and gain more points for a win.
Made numerous changes to the way MMR is calculated such as how many points players gain or lose each match, how match predictions are calculated between two potential teams when searching for a matchup, and many other changes to the backend calculations that should make the MMR progression much more accurate in predicting and placing a player at their true MMR rating.
Optimizations to the matchmaking algorithm that should reduce queue times across the board.
The game lobby and hero select screens now show match gain/loss values with more precision as it is now possible to gain/lose fractional amounts of MMR.
All players will have their Normal/Casual MMR compressed towards 1500. (For example a 1700 MMR would become (1700 + 1500) / 2 = 1600).
The minimum MMR has been increased from 750 to 1000.
well fuck, now I'm back to 1700, the matchmaking change though is pretty cool.Deserves a new post.

Truth, weren't you getting carried by Loki?weren't you already in the 1700s ;0
Deserves a new post.
If anything I find that one of DoTA2 good moves is the total absence of a stat tracker except W or L.
It helps at time, sure, but its also a big factor in the toxicity of the genre' community.
