Hey GAF help me stream from my PC properly!

So I’m going to go down this rabbit hole one more time, but before I toss my pc into the ocean I wanted to see if GAF can help me do this right.

So I have a desktop pc with a modern cpu and 4090 64gb ram, etc. very capable PC. I want to hook this to my LG tv primarily so I can sit in lounge chair and game. However I want to be able to stream this pc to multiple devices. To my Mac in the office so I can play mouse / keyboard games on my LG HDR monitor 32inch, but I also want to stream it to my steam deck which isn’t hdr and to my Logitech G cloud non hdr.

The problem in the past has been two fold. #1 when I have hdr enabled on main device the steam deck and Logitech are formatted wrong washed out and I have to manually adjust image sizes etc every time I game.

Secondly if I had a controller plugged into the main unit it always seemed to fail to recognize the steam deck and or the logitechs controllers as player 1.

Thirdly if I have emulators etc what’s the best way to have them all in one unified launcher? Playnight or something?

I bought some hd dongles also but never really understood how to use them as I don’t want to have to leave my monitors in 24/7 etc..

Is there an easy to use guide or can someone here help me better understand how to set this up properly so I can enjoy my pc again?!

Thanks in advance

Love,
Dorfy

Hmm... so moonlight somewhat worked but now you want to expand it to basically be like a home server. There's a handful of ways to go about it but some perform worse than others. At least for the emulators you can use something like RetroArch to unify the emulators for the classic consoles. For the multi streaming solution, maybe other people know more than I do. I hope the edid dongle worked for you if you ended up using it.

Try the Apollo Sunshine fork, it creates and destroys virtual displays dynamically that match the display you are streaming to.

Devices that do not support HDR will look washed out until you toggle it off. Try to update all your devices to be HDR compatible.
