hey so i was checking ebay for PSP prices...

Just to let you know Californians have to pay a extra 6.75 per unit for the lcd. So Ebay doesnt sound that bad now when you think about 8.25% tax and shit.

Yes i do live in cali, have for 20 years.

yeah its a environmental tax. And yet they were charging it at bestbuy, compusa, and target yesterday when i was out and about. A lot of people were confused and bitched about it. But others just said fuck it give me the unit.

if thats true wario why was i seeing people get charged for it? Maybe its a local thing? I'm trying to find out now. Cause this interests me.

Heh if you're in Europe and wanted a system now it looks like ebay is the place to be. You can pay close to US retail + shipping. Certainly beats buying from an import speciality store like lik-sang and the lot.

Here's the costs that I'd figured I'd have it I did that: 6% sales tax, ebay fees, and PayPal fees. Think the three of them ended up at something like 33 dollars. So those thinking you can make the money up in shipping by overcharging 10 dollars, it's much more than that. But still, anyone who did this is an idiot. You could see days before it launched that demand wasn't there.

Edit: That was based on a sell price of 299.99 (And no shipping charges calculated with PayPal). So you might drop a couple dollars at 250, but it's still around 30 (And more if you have higher sales tax).

I want to import but its quite risky given the number of PSP's with dead pixels out there.

Im happy that I was able to sell a PSP with one game for over 800 USD at US launch.

US Ebayers am cry.

You mean at Japan launch? Because if you're saying US launch, I want a link or I call bullshit.

Yesterday morning there were some listed below $210 with less than 2 minutes left on the auction. I was tempted to bid, but all of them had reserves set...and I still don't want to spend that much on a PSP. The price is too fucking high. Hopefully sales are slow enough to force a price drop...or at least some common sense. PEACE.

Heh...if I saw one for less than $210 that was shipping to europe (for less than $50), I'd be all over it!

when i picked up my brothers i think it came out to like $268 and some change total out here in Cali, but i didn't even bother to check if they charged the extra tax.

Sales tax is about $20

$249 + 20 = $269

No bs environmental tax :)
