The Realm Royale Twitter account came alive again after two years of inactivity and it looks like they're teasing an update.
The game was an early Fortnite clone released in 2018 and had a really good pre-release buzz going, but user engagement pancaked in a couple of weeks. It was dead, so dead it even had a Death of a Game episode. Now it looks like they're about to give it an overhaul and rename it to Realm Royale Reforged.
The update's been tested on PTS and by the looks of it, it's nothing dramatic like an engine change or new art assets, mostly balance, removed & changed abilities and the like (typical streamlining).
If it's a serious push, expect Hi-Res to grease the pockets of streamers and influencer personalities to get the hype machine going again.
Do you feel it, or is this just the last hurrah before they turn off servers?
