What's the deal with the remotes? I've seen 2 kicking around, the universal media remote pictured above, and the mini media remote I've seen in other pack ins.

On the few UK websites I've looked at it includes the mini media remote "whilst stocks last", with the UMR being available seperately.

So is the Premium pack temporarily being bundled with the mini remote until they're depleted and everyone has to buy the UMR?

If you look closely at the component cables, you'll also see the Composite Video out cable (yellow.) The audio ones (red, white) are the same.

the component cable comes with an extra plug for composite hookups.. funny how they didnt just throw that in the core system, hd era = d9d

Yes, there isn't a standard optical slot on the console itself, it comes embedded with the cables.
