Death Stranding Creator Hideo Kojima Wants AI To Handle "Tedious Tasks" To Cut Down Development Time & Cost
Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima wants AI to handle "tedious task" in order to cut down on development time and cost.

Speaking to Wired Japan, Kojima Productions game director Hideo Kojima discussed how a lot of people AI in creative work to come up with ideas. However, he likes to think of the technology as more of a friend or a helping hand, where he would lead the creative part and use AI to boost efficiency.
The Death Stranding and Metal Gear Solid creator further mentioned that he would like AI to handle the "tedious tasks" that would lower cost and cut down on time. He envisions a scenario where he would be "co-creating with AI instead of just using it." By "tedious tasks", he's likely referring to things like handling lipsyncing in various languages.
