Paris Hilton has dropped a £17m lawsuit over a film of her having sex - in return for a share of the profits.

The hotel heiress took ex-lover Rick Salomon to court for selling the tape on an internet porn site.

Now the 23-year-old has settled the case - and will reap a fortune from the 45-minute tape, which has just been released on video.

Salomon, 33, and the internet firm agreed to pay her £215,000 plus a percentage of profits from the film titled One Night In Paris.

Salomon already claims to have made millions from the four-year-old tape after releasing it on a Czech website, says The Sun.

As part of the deal Salomon halted a £6m suit accusing Paris of defaming him by saying he raped her.

Hilton, a US reality TV star, denied cashing in on the video. A source said: "She has insisted an ample portion of the proceeds go to charity."
