I don't mean to alarm you but you have dogs on your face
People Under the Stairs (a lot of their stuff is the most..I suppose..'melodic' hip-hop I've ever heard. My favorite rap group)
The Roots
New Kingdom (hardcore shit, recommended by someone on the board over a year ago, awesome stuff)
DJ Krush (japanese, more trip-hop than hip-hop, but the album Jaku is pretty awesome and kinda hip-hoppish, like the song Nosferatu)

That's some of my favorite hiphop, and I'm not even that into the genre.

Yeah, but...I'm European (10 $ for shipping)

you can find Akir's cd in mp3s at http://www.mp3tunes.com/akir and also on napster, itunes, and rhaspody. Dunno where else you can get billy woods, its worth picking up though. if anybody has heard "one remix" off immortal techniques revolutionary volume 2, akir is the guy rapping first on that track.

Btw, what music download services has the best selection of underground hiphop and Neo Soul?

iTunes mostly carries mainstream music. I really think these music services are dropping the ball by not carrying a lot of hard to find or Indie music.

Glad I'm not the only one. "Money Folder" is pretty hot, though.

I'd highly recommend Kool Keith's stuff... If you can handle lots of noise, you should check out Dälek, that's about all I can recommend that I didn't already. ;) My hip hop collection is kind of a closed little thing, and I rarely add new artists to it. I'm too picky.

Entertainment is entertainment--amount of pleasure does not have to be a function of quality.
I agree with you 99% of the time.

But fucking Collision Course, dude.
