Sure, he's banned me. Multiple times. But I couldn't imagine the forum without him. Besides, he's fairly reasonable for a... y'know.

btw, how do people pronounce his name? I've always thought it was HEE-toe-cage. Am I rite? It's not, like hee-toe-kah-jay or something, is it? If so, then this will be almost as bad as when I found out Doom-developer id was a word and not I.D. >_<

I pronounce it like "hee-toe-kah-jay."

He's the only mod who has banned me. And he even admitted that the reason for my banning was his personal dislike for a particular topic I was defending (non-political), not any other subject matter or TOS violations. Then he forgot to unban me. For like a month and a half. And yet, I still respect him. Seems like a nice guy.

Hitokage is cool, his sometimes virulent atheism notwithstanding ;) :D ; his posts are usually well-reasoned, even when I may disagree with what he's saying-- and really, that's all you can ask of people on forums. :)

Have I? I thought it was the other way around. Several years ago I was a real hardass, both as a mod and a poster, and today I'm amazed anyone actually liked me back then. ;)

Then again, I just remembered my outburst at KobunHeat.. shit... yeah, I'm not going to repeat that.

to me, HEE-TOE-KAJ

is a cool mod and I enjoy reading his posts, even if I sometimes disagree with his stances. He argues his stances well, which is rare, so for that I respect him. He also lives in my hometown, which gives him bonus points from me.

In case anyone was wondering, Hitokage - &#12498;&#12488;&#12459;&#12466; - is the name for the Japanese version of the Pokemon "Charmander." Dunno any other uses. Maybe the guy's a Pokemon fan (like me!). :p

Back when Hotmail was brand new, I flipped through a JE-EJ dictionary to get a username, and I thought "Shadow. Hito-kage" sounded kinda cool. Too bad I didn't foresee the whole pokemon thing, which uses "Salamander. Hi-to-kage".
