Holy Crap, can we truely expect Gizmondo games to look like this???

Goddamnit, there was already a thread covering this crap, MrparisSM!

None of those shots are from Gizmondo, nor are those posted in response.

All those shots above are either from PC or XBox versions. Easy to tell because none of the UI stuff will work @320x240! They'd would appear as tiny incomprehensible blobs at that size. Think McFly, Think!

These shots above are emulated Gizmondo games before the addition of the GoForce 3D 4500. They are no longer what Giz games will look like. They are purely software rendered 3D, if you open your damn eyes. Please get that through your heads.

Here's more an accurate look at what Giz games will look like:

No where approaching PSP, but far far ahead of DS and Zodiac. That's where Gizmondo lives. hardware 3D somewhere south of DC.

Hardware somewhere south of the DC and no sales to speak of.

This poor thing is stillborn. Nobdy here or in Japan even know about this thing, I've heard of no major developers on board (death knell already), and the company has a very unrealistic idea of what they'll actually sell.

Yet another company gone due to bad decisions.

I played it at E3, and it was horrible. They had no developer support, couldn't say when it launched and not one person in the booth could convert the price to US dollars. The game I played was early gen PSone quality, and I can't remember what the storage was on the cards, but it was something pitiful, like 128 megs. You're not going to get games like that on such limited storage.

Gregory, yep I've seen the video. That Brazilian twit Reirom copy/pasted the story (along with video) lats week sometime. He praised the system as the second coming.

What he got in return was a 5 page flame fest for pimping a shitty piece of equipment. Then he had the stones to say it would outsell the PSP and DS.

Why on earth is MS supporting this? Are they deliberately trying to sabotage their name in the handheld market?

Hehe, we all saw this coming when this thing was announced. The only real possitive decision I saw them make is including the GoForce 3D 4500.

First of all, at E3, it was all software, and really early at that. Not indicative of GoForce 3D 4500 equipped Giz can do. And the guys at the booths were mix of Fathammer/XForge guys and some other none english speaking Euro devs. I don't think half of them understood half the things I was asking (and the blazing crappy "music" there didn't help). One did manage to give me a US price estimate: $400 or so. I was like "you've got to me kidding me....". He just shrugged.

That E3 booth was pretty good analog of the company's cluelessness though.

I guess you guys havent seen the Gizmondo video of Richard Burns Rally. It doesn`t look anywhere close to these pics of the Xbox/PC version.. It`s around GBA quality. :/

Check it out, ugh.

It looks like crap compare to PSP RR, but GBA quality? Are you blind? That thing's probably going to look alot worse than DC Sega Rally 2 when it's said and done, but far better than any DS games.

Guys, seriously. It's all about the games.

Gizmondo website said:
• Angel Fish
• Chicane
• City
• Colors
• Conflict: Desert Storm II
• Conflict: Vietnam
• Interstellar Flames 2
• Richard Burns Rally
• Speedgun Stadium
• Stuntcar Extreme
• Super Drop Mania
• The Great Escape

Those are all of the titles listed as in development. All 12 of them.

That's right, 12 games.

*cough*

I can tell if that is sadder or almost sad as the Zodiac situation. Either way, don't waste money on either for gaming. Zodiac does make a nice Palm OS PDA however.

IIRC Microsoft Game Studio does support this G-shit. :) So this G-shit is the representer of Microsoft in the handheld gaming space. Xboy is old, call it Xbozmondo :lol Oh, how much does it cost btw?

Attention whore?

There was a thread covering the 500,000 preorders or whatever. But I didn't see a thread about this. Nor any pictures in that thread. If so I wouldn't have made the thread.

In all honessty this thing should be to the PSP what the Xbox is to the PS2. It hink it will be able to produce FAR better graphics than the PSP. The main reason it does not really so far is because you have mostly low level devs doing stuff on it. If Tiger can get some real game support, then..... Sell you GP32's its all over! :D
What.. what?

I hate to say it too, but I also think it looks kinda entertaining. The background also reminds me of TWW.

What the hell with games looking like this Gizmondo is looking like it's game cube's cousin. Graphically speaking it looks closer to what psp is achieving.
Just in a weird outter limits, twighlight zone sort of way.

That was said as an apple I could give it to people that didn't understand as apple sauce but instead pass the apple cider.

PSP= Baby Ps2
Ds= Baby N64 generation behind but truly inovative I can't get one at my local stores theyt sell out in minutes.
Gizmondo= Gamecube It's a lot closer especially with the game shown in that footage.

Its Gizmondo (Tiger) but its supported by MSFT with some games...
A port of Halo will kill competition...

I feel so sorry for these guys. The official forum on their site has only like 15 posts from non mod posters. poor guys making such silly products :(. The price is said to be 450 american. or 400. I am not joking. Poor fools :(. It's like a child you have... who is 6 years old, has joy in her eyes. She proceeds to show you this handheld she made out of silly putty and it has m&m's as face buttons... you cant help but cry.

poor kids :(.
