I had been planning it for awhile (scouting the homes, saving, getting my credit ready) and today dropped off the deposit, signing the purchase agreement on Saturday and hopefully moving in in November! Nice house dude... Good luck. I wish houses like that were that cheap here in NYC. A house like here in NYC, would sell for at least $600k

Don't be so anxious to move in that you don't do a thorough inspection. Demand nothing less than a house with nothing wrong with it, after all - you don't want to have to fix something in the house that's going to be eating up most of your discretionary income

FYI, builder paint SUCKS. If they haven't painted the house (trim, etc), ask them what kind of paint they are using. It should have a brand... and warranty

Oh no I got the plan one Townhome (attached home) theres no way I could have afforded a house like the one in that picture in San Diego, normal stand alone houses are up in the 600 range as well here......

It's not built yet so I'll have to look into what kind of paint they use....besides with the HOA im paying im sure that stuff is covered....again I hope.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but escrow finally closed for me and got the keys to my townhouse last night (and getting rid of them in exchange for new locks, lol =P)...I am now a homeowner =)
