This is why there's an official x360 defects thread. Welcome to the club.

Call them tell MS to send you a replacement box, they'll ship it out, you ship yours in and in a couple of days you have another.... that is if they don'y fuck... and there are MANY fuck ups :lol

there are a lot of people having problems with their xbox 360s.

Yeah, although his sounds like some sort of software crash/bug that the system couldn't recover itself from even after shutdown rather than a hardware issue.

Pretty scary if just doing the wrong thing at the wrong time can kill your system >_<

Hey sykoex, nice seeing you around.

How rampant are the 360 problems and are there any sure-fire tests you can run to see if your system has any issues?

yeah I LIVE IN AUSTRALIA fucking fuck fuck fuckkkkkkkkkkkkk would they fix it even though its not out here yet? doubtful hey

Seriously, is the 360 more defective than PS2? That is just sad.

Well they just had to get it out in 2005 and be the first to the market! Who cares if the unit wasn't actually 100% finished and tested.

also i read in that official thread that many people having problems with the 360 get the 3 red lights, im getting 4. what exactly does that mean

I doubt you'll be able to get it repaired from an international order. If they do repair it will probably be like any other company you will have to pay shipping both ways since it's international. I had to do it with my Japanese PSP.

tried booting iwthout the hd. no luck :( i see a lot on google with people saying 4 rings means ur AV cable is not connected properly, and also on msoft site. but all the 3 red ring people say if u get 3 your fucked. why why why

If you read the manual 4 red lights means it's the AV cables, if unplugging it and adjusting the cable doesn't work then you have a serious problem.

Congrats, remember to keep it WELL VENTILATED! Your GPU probably overheated and needed to cool down before it would start up again. Sorta like a computer with a overheating CPU will autoshut down and will not allow power to start unless it has reached a safe temp. Be very careful when using it since you're not in a region that the console is released in, give MS a call and see if they will cover it.

lol, fuckin hell, its started to do it again. im kinda more calm about it now though, it crashed that time i got it to work again, then red ringed again. then i repeated the steps again ie took everything out, unplugged it all aired it out and then it worked again. then crashed again after 10 mins or so. looks like its going on ebay

Ouch :S so many people are selling theirs on ebay and not telling the potential buyers abpit the defects. Hope you don't screw anyone over :D

Yeah, don't be an asshole and not disclose the problems.

hey hey relax i dont intend to hide the problem, but i will definetly not refund if MORE problems arise, which is why i wanna sell it. small problems always lead to bigger ones.

Check your PSU. Maybe the PSU is the one overheating.

the PSU light turns green though. does it still go green if overheated? ive had the console on for a long while today, id say close to the 12 hour mark, usually i only have it on for about 3-4 hours.

People say that if you put it above the ground say on a stool or maybe the enterntainment center or something similiar it will not overheat. Try that and see what happens.

Have you tried calling MS support and see if they do anything. Even though your in Australia.

Just say you bought it in America and dont plan on going back for a few months. Surley they could do something for you.

Im planning to import one soon. Hopefully the units being made now are more stable.
