I've only downloaded the first movie but it looks to me like a single player game. I like the look of it tho, rather beautiful and the music is enchanting. Interest +10
 
Some site reported that it had been cancelled, but others remained skeptical since there wasn't another source and the game's official page remained the same. I guess the skeptics were right.

the third video has a diagram with multiple GCs connected. does that say 35?

I wouldn't mind seeing this moved over to the ds. It looks and sounds pretty neat.
 
Yeah i believe 1 GC can play host to 30+ other GC's, and that GC acts as a god like controller of the whole game. Or you can be one of the 30+ And play along
 
I love how unique and different this game looks from anything I've seen before. But is it fun? If so, I would hope it would come to the US (which means it wouldn't).
 
the graphics style is so clean I love em and the music is amazing i really dig all of especially the songs with the mandalins. I really hope this come to america even though the chances of that happening is like 0. regardlis this looks like the first game i might have to actually import the soundtrack for.

this shot up my most wanted list really quick.

saw the 3rd movie

apparently the gamecube acts as a server for the (up to 35 player) multiplayer, modes are battle,hide and seek , prison break? and adventure mode?

this looks fucking awesome. the music reminds me of napple tale also which is a GOOD thing.

where the hell has nintendo been hiding this? It would be a travesty if something this promising was canceled.
 
Wow, after watching the first movie I'm really interested in this. Please, oh please, let this somehow come to the US.....
 
That looks awesome, though I'm as cofnused as hell as to why anyone thinks this would work on the GC of all systems.
 
Well, going by the design, it looks like it's aimed at younger kids (therefore, a lot of GC owners). Regardless of why they're doing it, it's great to see an online GameCube game.
 
This game looks awesome! Very reminiscant of Animal Forest and Giftpia!

Does anyone know any more details about the online modes etc?
 
Holy crap, Homeland looks/sounds amazing. Forget Giftpia, Nintendo better bring this one over next year.... might just be Chun Soft's best game yet (which is saying quite a lot).

there is no server you log into, someone just sets up a gc as the server and everyone logs in to it.
 
So....wait, what? If you can do that, why don't all online games do it? Sever costs seem to be the main issue, and that sounds like it solves it.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you're saying.

no, youre right. i dont know why they dont either really. Now there may be some sort of minor matching service or something but they didnt say. The sort of low-techness of the online aspect of this game makes me thiink this will have no problem comng stateside.
 
One of the coolest things about the game is that the story branches in a way that you can either play a long game, or a "short story" (the straight line is the short one) and i believe that each path leads to a totally different story.

You're right, this games artistic direction is almost certainly influenced by Tove Jansson's Moomintroll books, the series is quite popular in Japan. Although the pictures you posted don't really illustrate the similarity too well (can't find any good sketchs myself).
