The last two seasons have been such unmitigated disasters that I'm actually done with this series.

To go from being one of the two or three best première seasons to ever grace television to what the show is now over the last three seasons is such a huge fall from grace.

I'm serious. Season three was weak, but you got decent closure. The two subsequent seasons absolutely ruined the character work the first two seasons worked so hard to establish. The plots and sub-plots strain for credulity and plausibility. The writing is just bad. And each of the subsequent seasons introduces a new character who is worse than anyone who had appeared on the show previously.

I'm serious when I say to save yourself the effort. Don't watch. I wish I hadn't.

For my part, I disagree. The show has never really recaptured the magic of the first season and a half, but the past couple of seasons have been miles better than the utter trainwreck that was season 3. That was a plotline that was stretched out for about a season and a half too long.

Same. They chickened out with that Season 1 finale and I've never been able to take the show as seriously. I thought the last two seasons were decent. There is a clear pattern of it becoming 24: Lite in the penultimate episode and then things slow waaaaaay down with the finales. Both of those elements don't really work well to close things out. I'm expecting the same here. Strong start and then the writers will go apeshit around Episode 7 or so.

And that cover in the trailer is horrendous. I'm not a music snob by any stretch of the imagination but it's actually distracting how bad it is.
