Honda Fit & Toyota Matrix

They've updated it since i bought mine, but I love my 2008 Honda Fit. Yeah, I wish it had an armrest, and a dead-pedal for my left foot, but I'm still getting more than 32mpg. Do I need paddle shifters on a car with 109 hp? Nah. But I need a sub-compact that can squeeze two IKEA dressers in the back with the seats folded flat.

Also, I'm 6'3" and 280, and am completely comfortable in my ride. There's plenty of head, and leg room.

Civics and Accords get good financing all the time. The Fit was a weird blind spot. The Korean manufactures were the only ones in 2009 that were giving out the 5 year loans at 1.9% amortized over 7 years though that might have spread to other manufacturers since then. Hyundai and Kia are cheap with Kia becoming oddly hip over the last year or so. probably not so good at holding value though.

Good to know, thank you. :) Guess I'm still on track for that Civic if all goes well...

I test drove a Honda Fit and a Toyota Matrix and ultimately walked away with a Matrix. The Fit is okay, but there's no way to shake the feeling that you're driving an economy car. The Matrix is a step up and more of a full size vehicle.

those car are like pocket protectors. you dont want anyone to see you in them.

if you want cheap get a civic or a camry. my 96 camry gives 26 miles to the galon. bought it for 1900$. if you want cool, get something cool. use seat cushions if you need height.

No one wants to see you in a new Fit/Yaris/Matrix they want to see you in a used, 14 year old car.

its called retro at that point and becomes cooler than when they initially came out. and besides mid 90s cars look like most normal cars today

lol.

I don't get why people get so elitist about cars. They get you from A to B, so long as it's reliable and doesn't fall apart before 100-150k miles, what's the big deal? :/

My car is basically the same as the Civic Si and I get around 30 mpg combined. Honda engines are pretty good on gas.

I have to use 91 octane though.

Not trying to be elitist or anything but when someone says that you don't want to be seen in a new car and my old car is better, they're going to get called out for it.

I like my 5 year old Matrix. It's roomy, it's peppy, and great on gas. Truth be told, the Matrix is built on the Corolla platform, with a different body. I'm sure the Fit is fine, too, but it may be a bit less roomy than the Matrix.

Second part wasn't aimed at you. ;)
