The best part about AI is how drastic the discussion has changed since it actually started replacing jobs. Back in the day, when everything was hypothetical, everyone was gung ho about AI and prevailing wisdom was that is was going to decimate blue collar jobs and leave millions of blue collar workers unemployed. None of these people gave a fuck. It was all "they should have gone to college" or "should have learned to code" type stuff. Now that AI is here and it's apparent that white collar, and creative, jobs are getting hit the hardest, and will continue to get hit the hardest, it's all doom and gloom and we're supposed to feel sorry for them.
