It is a sweeping and stunning refutation of ugly American car design though.

I couldn't disagree more...this car looks bad ass in person, even more so when the specs are considered. Plus it has a unique look, one obviously based on the previous Ford GT, which makes it one of the few retro jobs that actually works in my eyes. And it also looks like a pure bred racing car. And performance wise, it's one of the hottest production cars ever made, as well as being one of the most affordable. Don't see how anyone could hate on it, unless they simply dislike anything Ford.

I've known people with bad experiences with Saturns and some with okay experiences with them. Pontiacs are much worse though. They seem to have a 2-3 year lifespan. =/ Is this a Pontiac under the hood? I like the look.
