How about that Pursuit Force?

Euro Reviews are making it sound pretty hot, but the difficulty sounds like something that would make me throw a PSP once I own one.

I'm still thinking about adding this to my PSP want list since it's so damned appealing to my sensibilities.

The old hotness is new again, let the spooging commence.

The game is really hard, gets a bit repetetive, since all you do is drive, shoot some other vechicle or jump on it and shoot it, you also get a little on foot action, the guy you control runs hilarious when you sprint, don't get me wrong, that's not a bad thing, but you can't notice that.

Overall the game is great in graphics, sound and presantation, the action is really cinematic, there is a lot to do, but it lacks gameplay variety and the difficulty is the reason i'm not playing it right now...

The difficulty spikes are meant to have been fixed since review code went out (Eurogamer were fairly scathing about it), but I guess we'll find out next week (the EU release is due then).

Sounds good to me... I don't always need the game I'm playing to have a whole bunch of different modes... this reads like a good old fashioned shot em up... except on wheels... Sold!

Now if we could just lock down then the US release date is...

It has recieved some really bad scores here in Sweden though, which has made me somewhat doubtful.

The European version is out now and my copy arrived this morning. As you'd expect it's another "requires 2.00 firmware" game (I don't have any of the utils to try it off a memory stick).

Played about an hour of it and got onto the second grade and it's quite fun, although it is fairly hard compared to most driving games I've played of late which let you go through the levels without much effort. There's a good variety of vehicles so far: cars, motorbikes and there's been a speedboat level.

Visually it's quite solid (more so than Burnout was; there's much less in the way of glitching) and seems to be 30 fps. One big draw for some people on here would be the RICHARD JACQUES ORCHESTRAL SOUNDTRACK, which is quite well done (quite movie-like).

I can see how reviewers might have got pissed off with it tho, given the difficulty, but we'll see how much better or worse that gets. Anyone else bought this or been put off by reviewers saying it's "too unfair/hard"?

put WabVersion changer on your mem stick, let it think you have 2.0... (keep 1.5)

I'm running 2.0 at the moment and am not bothered by homebrew (played around with it a bit on 1.5, but got bored pretty quickly, the homebrew scene for me was all about the GBA a few years back). I just thought I'd put the standard disclaimer in case anyone asked about loadtimes off a memory stick, etc.

appearantly youve never played GTA. wab is over until humma works on it some more

don't talk as if you know anything ;) GTA (socom, lotr, the hustle) needs software that is included in 2.0, Pursuit Force doesn't. And wabversion changer isn't the only tool to make the psp think your on a different FW...
