Looking for some help here. I play on steamdeck with gfn, I also play on gfn on my Mac mini. I'm playing RE4 and my controls are completely messed up when I play on Mac mini now. I'll go into the control options in RE4 and I'm selecting the controls that have bringing up the inventory as the x button on my 8bitdo ultimate controller. But the game isn't recognizing this selection. It's still having the inventory open up with the y button. Does anyone know why the controls are getting borked going from one device to another?

Anyone know what's going on with this and why controls are not saving to what I select in the game. It wasn't like this before, what is going on.

well, the 8bitdo might be registered wrong on your mac.

what mode do you have your controller in? which 8bitdo?

because some 8bitdo controllers can have up to 3 different modes. X-Input mode, Direct Input mode, and Switch Pro Controller mode.

each of them will be detected slightly differently depending on the device and game you use it with.

I have the 8bitdo ultimate controller. I didn't ever set any mode on my Mac, I just connected it to my computer pairing the device with Bluetooth. What's strange is I was not having this issue until I started playing also on my steamdeck. So did that mess something up?
