I tasted trivia right now and that's actually supposed to be natural but man does it taste incorrect

I also tasted splenda and equal and the pink one and they also taste weird as hell like its medicinal or something

Prefer them in my gum, but in so many other things they alter the taste in a way that just isn't agreeable.

They taste "off" because your body is accustomed to the taste of sugar. If you stop having sugar based drinks for a while, they taste quite normal.

I can't tell a taste difference from sugar and Splenda if I put it in tea. Coffee I can, but not tea. I don't mind it though.

I find cyclamate mixed with saccharin to be a great sugar substitute, but later found out that it is illegal in the US due to cancer risks :/

Aspartame is what I usually use in tea, but it isn't perfect taste wise.

A certain percentage of the population can taste artificial sweeteners. I can, and I instantly know if something i'm eating/drinking has artificial sweeteners in it. It's gross.

They are probably OK for some things, but I have yet to find a soda that does not taste pointless with artificial sweeteners. I rather just drink water or black coffee, which is what I tend to do most of the time anyway.

I don't use them since I don't drink coffee or tea, but apparently something called aspartame is in one or some of them, and that reportedly has been problematic for some people.

I used to eat Fiber One, which also had it, but I stopped since I was uneasy about how others expressed the issues with it. I had asked my doctor and nurse practitioner, and while they weren't adamant that I avoid it and probably no harm done, they also suggested it wouldn't be a bad idea to stop. So, to be safe, I stopped. I do miss the Fiber One though.

Artificial sweeteners all taste shitty compared to sugar.
I'd rather not have a sweetened drink than have a drink sweetened with ass.

The only one I can seem to tolerate is Stevia (and of course that's an expensive one). I can still tell a difference from sugar, but it doesn't make me instantly gag like aspartame or whatever. I want to actually enjoy my dessert/sweet drink, I don't have them often as it is.

I don't mind most of them. Not every sweetener has to taste like cane sugar to me. I actually really like the aftertaste of truvia with fruity drinks. That new nectresse one is good, too. Those two are technically natural, though.

If you like it for the taste, go for it. If you do it due to some misconception that's it healthier, I've got some news for you...

Most beverages with artificial sweeteners taste like shit. Like Coke Zero.
I did disover a few that taste quite good so that's the only stuff I drink right now next to water.

Considering how much I love diet soda, I'm totally ok with Aspartame and Splenda. Stevia, however, has an AWFUL after-taste for me.

Use Stevia, it works miracles. Just ask Dan Quinn.
Stevia performs fine in cold food and beverages but you get some after taste in hot drinks. But it's nowhere near as bad as the artificial sweeteners, which taste like medicine and give me weird side effects. I mix it with a little bit of sugar to cut the after taste. Plus, the pure stuff is SUPER concentrated. You can get 600 servings in a salt shaker.

Triedsome stevia ice cream once. toooo goddamn sweet. liked the version that was like 5 g of real sugar supplemented with a bit of stevia much better.
