+ a slap to the face

It's easier if you right a list of the things you have to do, make sure it's actually doable, and prioritize it. Set your alarm so you can get up early enough to get out, do what you have to do, then have the rest of the day to screw around. Getting on an off-day at 6 or 7am isn't hard for me, especially if it's during the week. i'm off today, ironically, and i've got most of the things i needed to do done.

I don't man and it fucking sucks. Today was my day off and I had plans to hit the gym and shit early in the morning, but the gf ended up staying over for night and we slept in till 1 pm. Not that I would be complaining though.

I find that if I masturbate to some good internet pornography, then suddenly I feel all relaxed, laid back and can get on with my day.

Uh... was that too much information?

I usually get up with my alarm. I only set my alarm if I have something to do, otherwise I'll sleep in. Getting a solid seven or eight hours of sleep helps you in the mornings.

You both slept in till 1pm? Don't you guys have jobs? It's Monday and the day after the superbowl does not qualify as a holiday.

We're all students. Lazy, money-grubbing students, the lot of us.

I do sit-ups and listen to music. Then I'm ready to go.

it doesn't help meee... :(

Coffee... and various Japanese Genki drinks....

If you can get yourself to sleep early the previous day, it's much easier to get up in the morning and shake off your laziness before it's time to get going. Obviously though, that's the hard part in the first place. You have to keep yourself active the day before so you're tired by the night; on the other hand, laziness is self-perpetuating. :(

One time I ordered "Hot Cocoa" at a restaurant called "Beths" in Seattle and was called a 'fag' by the waiter.

What does this have to do with anything?

I drink hot cocoa. It helps me relax. Put some perspective on things. That waiter almost ruined it for me with his homophobic remarks.

Well I don't know why he called you a fag... but Beth's Omelets rock hard!

The best way to change encrusted bad habits and to change huge things radically is to use lazyness.

If the alarm clock is just besides your bed, you can always shut it off. If it is really far, and it's really loud, than you are most likely to succeed.

This is usually how I go about it, too. But it doesn't make it easy. It's always a pain to get out of bed... the fact that I'm at a shitty college and will really need good grades to get into a high-level grad school is all I have to get me going sometimes.
