Hello neon gaf

So my wife and i have a disagreement, we both interpret this music video differently.

I think its about a bunch of straight acting/married gay guys going fishing regularly (Brokenback mountain) who then when discovered murder the man wants to live out his true gay self (the fish at the end symbolizes "something fishy")

My wife thinks its about a bunch of drug addicts (ravers) reliving their past experience, no murder just weird hallucinations due to drugs

What say you? Who is correct or do you see it differently

It's about the how homosexuality is viewed in the country. It's seen is wrong and not accepted to the point murder is common for being gay. So you have a society of gay men who are closeted and can only be open in very specific scenarios with specific people they trust. The older guy, who had been closeted his whole life, who was peaking at them, ends up saying fuck all and joins them. I speak broken Russian now so I can make out some of the lyrics. If you find a translated version it would probably help you more. Anyways, just think of modern Russia like the 50s America. Going fishing with the boys is a regular ritual; it's manly, etc.
