I know there was a trick to this, I just can't remember it. I know someone who really believes it or is rather freaked out by it

there can only be a certain number that comes out of it, those numbers are always shown in the ball. notice some symbols are repeated, that's the one it's always gonna be.

not multiples, but similar deal.

add two digits of any number together then subtract from original number to get x. click on the ball to see what you guessed.

It tricked me the first time...then I noticed that the symbols change.

EDIT: Yeah...repeated symbols and multipies of 9.

Yeah, it's always a muliple of 9.

10 - (1+0) = 9
11 - (1+1) = 9
12 - (1+2) = 9
13 - (1+3) = 9
14 - (1+4) = 9

21 - (2+1) = 18 / 2 = 9
22 - (2+2) = 18 / 2 = 9

And so on... notice the symbols for 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, etc are the same.
