I was thinking it would be nice to have an ebook reader on there to take books on the go, or custom movie players, etc.

Given the memory stick compatibility and direct connection to a PC, I'm surprised we haven't seen ANYTHING like this appear online. Has anyone looked into it?

It'll happen, it's just going to take time for it to get in the hands of hackers worldwide. Wait for US/Europe release and then things will really get rolling.

I'm no hacker so I don't want to underestimate/overestimate how difficult it will be, but all I know is that it will happen.
