How long does it take to beat FFI+II DOS?

FFI+II is sitting on my shelf in the wrapper. It has to keep me entertained through Christmas vacation, but I really want to start on it now. How long are the two games together? 20 hours? 40? 60?

I spent 30 on FF1. Mashing through the bonus dungeons does take a fair bit of time. No idea about FF2 yet.

HAHAH JUST JOKING AROUND GUYZ

This is my first "Final Fantasy" game i played. Knowing that I never own the series so I'm glad I took part of. It was a blast and couldn't believe I miss it out on. (:D times 50 )

FF I: I just completed it last night. Didn't pay attention to the hours. So, i bought it on Dec 1st. It only took me 13 days to complete the game. Didn't bother doing the extras dungeons.

FF II: I just got to the Salamaan and right now i'm in the cave looking for Mythrill. Just got own by the damn turtle who refuse to die. I'm starting to believe this is the worse game i'll play on. This doesn't feel right to me. Peroid. I can't explain it so I might skip this 2nd installment and move onto the japan version "FF3~japan" on the NINTENDO DS SYSTEM. Hopefully, they don't screw up on the japan version.

It is the grow system. You only advance stats you use. If you do not use magic, your magic power will not increase. Strength is determinded by how many time you swing you sword. Health by how much damage you take.

I like it, everyone else hates it. :P

Sometimes the mods get angry. -_-; I forgot to equip Mine D.

Screwing up FF3j would have to count as one of the biggest disasters in game history; at worst, FF3j plays like FF1. So Kawazu or no, my hopes are still high.

Use magic against bosses; short of maxing out martial arts and spamming "attack" for an hour this is the only way you can kill bosses in this game.

And I like FFII's stat system, since it feels like a better sense of accomplishment than the usual level up systems. Most people don't like it because the stat system is paired up with a really wonky learning curve (via the hard-ass enemies and extreme dungeon encounter rates) that gets more managable as you play, kinda like Saga games
