But there's an option to back up data to a dvd disc, so it'll make things easier.

For some reason the wireless card on my PC doesn't work and I really don't have space for my PC where the router is to hook it up through the ethernet card.

Yes, you do, but only once. Just run a ethernet cable or temp move your pc something for the authentication process...
