First tragedy, then farce.
so, the deal was I went out with a friend to a concert to get fixed up with one of her friends who is *really* hot. She brought along her friend, that isnt as good looking. Long story short, things went wacky, I got really drunk and the not good looking girl (who wasnt drinking at all) took advantage of me. I managed to stop myself before doing too much, but I did enough damage that Im going to seem like an asshole who uses women if I never talk to her again.

Now, the friend I was supposed to hook up with isnt happy, my friend who brought me isnt happy, and the not good looking girl is asking about me. I didnt get her number or anything, but Im getting messages through the grapevine to meet her... and I know its really shallow, but I dont want to go out with her. Were I not in the midsts of a multi-month slump and drunk off my ass it never would have happened.. but now Im in the badguy because a completely sober girl pulled my drunk ass into her bedroom

Ive given up on reconciling the situation with the hot friend I was supposed to hook up with... I just need out of this one without my friend hating me. Right now, Im thinking of going with the I dont have time for a relationship, and I was just really drunk and not thinking. Which is mostly all true.

Be honest, be polite, and if people hate you for it, well, there are worse things to be hated for. A good friend should be able to understand.

Just tell her the truth: you're not interested. Even if she does throw a fit, it's not like she wasn't asking for it. People are as stupid as they put themselves out to be. I'm sure she knew what she was doing when she took advantage of a drunk guy. Now she must pay the consequences of her actions. You're not being a jerk, she's just being a stupid slut. End of story.

Oh yeah, and good luck! \(^O^)

What if a hot girl is drunk, you're sober, she comes on to you super hard, you end up making out. Am I the asshole?

Yeah, the people above are correct.

She is stupid for thinking that a relationship is coming out of this. She wasn't even drunk, so you have the upper hand.

I don't know why you should be 'breaking it off'. There was never anything there!

thanks guys, I thought I was correct that I shouldnt really take much blame in this one... but I get the feeling she doesnt have much luck with guys, so she may have read a bit more into it than intended.

Stooge... it's time to settle down. No really... apart from average looks, what's so bad about that girl? How well do you know the other girls? Shouldn't you at least give her a chance so you can get to know her beyond a night of drunken revelry? You owe it to yourself really; what if she's a really good person, great a cooking, hawt in bed, and all that jazz? You'd have missed out big time! No go! March forth and have that 9 month relationship with the torrid ending at the end. You'll be a better person for it!

*congratulates himself on a good job freeing up 2 hotties for the rest of the guys and stalling 1 fugly one*

You're not "breaking it off." You're refusing to form a relationship with someone who took advantage of your drunkenness. What's to feel guilty about?

Hooking up happens all the time, and almost never leads to anything.
EXACTLY. I really don't understand why your friend and the other girl are so pissed. It would make more sense if they were pissed at the girl that took advantage of you because she knew you and that hot chick were getting together. I mean, how could it be that GAF is the only people that see this? o_O If I was being set up with a guy and my best friend ends up taking advantage of him while he's drunk, I'D GET PRETTY FRIGGIN' PISSED AT HER!

Just get drunk again and tell her you don't want to be with her. That way you can pass the "being a jerk" off on being drunk.

was she .. like .. UGLY? or just not good looking?

if she's decent, keep her and then trade up when you get the opportunity...

because after a few weeks, you can say "it's just not working out" and not look like a complete ass...
