That's an expensive site, but I was just giving you an example. You know, the only reason to rent a server would be if you have a clan or website or something...

If you just want to play with a bunch of friends, make one in multiplayer/lan menu. The reason it's only giving you an IP instead of taking you to the map is probably because you checked the "dedicated server" option. If the problem is getting your friends to connect, forward these ports: 4711,14667,28900. There's a step by step guide in the link rc213 posted.

the thing is, my upload sucks, and that goes with most of my friends uz our ISP sucks..


so its hard to host a server in any of our PCs cuz the upload won't be able to handle it, especially when we're going to use voice chatting...



btw - is GAF going to make its own server for the game? I'm ready to chip for that


EDIT: another question .. setting up the server at work is like impossible right? cuz the internet here is pretty damn fast
