i used to run XP on a 400mhz p2 with a shitty graphics card and 384mb of ram - worked fine.. a little sluggish but i was happy with it for ages :p

I got a setup with 256 Ram, P3 550 with XP and it run ok. Not fast like my other CPU, but it's ok. Mind you, I don't have SP2 installed yet.

Although I guess you've already gotten your answer, I also ran WinXP on a PIII 500 w/ 512MB of RAM very smoothly. I had also run Win2k Pro prior to that with no troubles.

I used a 500 celeron and 128mb of ram for a bit when it came out.

It sucks, but it works.

fyi the requirements are 300mhz and 64mb.

Dude, just find yourself a copy of Win2000 for that thing and wait until you get some modern hardware to run XP.

I'm on a Compaq Presario 366 computer with a Cyrirx M2 250MHz (overclocked to 366, though) processor with XP. I also have a gig of RAM. It runs fine. Sluggish once in a while, but it's fine.
