How would you live your life if you didn't have to work?

I have no idea. On my days off I am usually very bored, so I imagine my life would be like that. Boredom for days.

People who say this terrify me. Do you literally have no imagination? Or is it that in this amazing world we live in, there is only one thing you want to do, and you do it for work? Either thought is depressing.

Luckily and happily, there are some better answers that follow.

Im about 5 months away from this being my life for real.

I plan on helping my family around the world.
So that means traveling. Supporting friends with what ever they are doing.
Enjoy all the little things in life that just require time.

I just got back from an island vacation and it gave me a clear picture of my ideal life.

on a breezy bluff near the ocean:
-triathlete cardio training
-gymnastic strength training
-volunteer
-read
-fish
-soak in hot tub

Movies/TV/Games if desire warrants and time allows.
I'm actively working on as many of the above as possible.

travel around the world, attending the best universities, studying a variety of subjects in the sciences

I've got a few friends who have this luxury. They're still busy though, just 'working' on things they wanna do. You can tend to get a bit lost, though. One of them is totally lost, tries everything once and moves on. Bit sad, really. Two of them have had international success & fame, one just Australia based, but they all still want to do something better than what they've done, like anyone.

If it was me, i'd become a loser playing games getting depressed I think.

I would probably move to a city with good public transportation. Then stay in my apartment all of the time. Only venturing out for food.

Wait, I have money, I would hire servants to do that for me.

Travel, study again, socialise/party, work on music/art heavily, participate in motorsports, potentially start my own animation company, workout and game a lot.

These are essentially my current goals in life, only I'd probably get the chance to do it all.

Shit's depressing.

I find the people who say they'd sleep all day, play video games and smoke pot kind of strange. After a few months you'd probably get extremely depressed, and it seems like a wasted opportunity to explore life.

As for the CEOs they are rich because they are addicted to working, winning and making money. There are wealthy people without that attitude but they didn't make money that way.

Personally I'd learn something, invest my time is trying to make the world a better place, have a good social life, travel, get in shape, and work through one hell of a bucket list.

Sleep is a luxury.
