How would you live your life if you didn't have to work?

nothing changes. i still come home and put my head in books until bed. i still study math every day. i want to reach the endgame.

no traveling, no family, few friends, limited disposable entertainment. strict diet and exercise regime.

Do you have any suggestions about how to level up so that I can handle proofs with ease. That shit still haunts me in nightmares!

Buy my way into Valve. Work there for free.

Golf.

Biking trips.

Badminton.

Learn Japanese.

Learn piano, guitar, drums.

I wouldn't have enough time. :(

I would buy Valve, and actually force Gaben into making
Ricochet 2
.

Gentleman of leisure. I would do the things I want, constantly going out with random girls. Invest in projects to help people. Still searching for the goal of my life.

I find the people who say they'd sleep all day, play video games and smoke pot kind of strange. After a few months you'd probably get extremely depressed, and it seems like a wasted opportunity to explore life.

As for the CEOs they are rich because they are addicted to working, winning and making money. There are wealthy people without that attitude but they didn't make money that way.

Personally I'd learn something, invest my time is trying to make the world a better place, have a good social life, travel, get in shape, and work through one hell of a bucket list.

Set up a nice home theater, buy a motorcycle to ride around with people. Take up boxing classes, hike with friends. Travel and have sex.

Smoke weed, try acid.

Definitely, definitely travel. A lot. All over the world. One of my dreams is to be able to travel across the world to different universities and audit classes. Just anything that interests me.

the reason these billionaires are still having jobs has gotta be because they would be bored out of their ass after a while

thats the only reason i can think of why there are countless billionaires who still have jobs

if i ever meet a billionaire whos doing shit id seriosuly wanna ask

"you can bay ANYTHING your heart desires......you can do ANYTHING your heart desires...from now on untill the end of your days

soooo....WHY THE FUCK ARE YOU SITTING IN BOARDROOM MEETINGS PLAYING CEO day in and day out!!!!

this crap just blows my mind
Money is addicting, you got to have more to keep up with the other billionaires.

I've just spent the last five weeks off work due to a dislocated shoulder and nearly lost my sanity in the process... Going back to work tomorrow thank god. As well as travelling the world and spending more time on my hobbies I would do some charity work I think, I can't cope with being still and not doing much.

I would have a modest sized home in DC. I'd own several dogs, mostly large breeds as well as some corgis. My bed would be huge and my dogs would likely sleep on it as well.

I'd travel extensively. Places like India, Singapore, Spain, Greece, etc. Anywhere with good food, basically. I'd also eat out with friends a lot.

I'd have an awesome kitchen with every appliance I could ever want. I'd spend a lot of my time trying out new recipes and inviting friends and family over to eat.

I could spend a lot more time sewing and sculpting and I could buy some of the best fabrics to make costumes with.

I'd also go to the gym a lot more often. I might take up some interesting classes or volunteer as a way of meeting new people.

A coastal town or city, definitely. I remember seeing Michael Palin's Around the World in 80 Days and thought that Cheung Chau seemed nice. Pretty much no cars, most travel by bike or foot. Something like that or the town featured in Still Walking would be nice as well. Reading, walking, maybe trying to take up drawing/painting again. Going to the beach, etc. Basking in the warm sunlight while laying in a nice hammock with something cool to drink. Man, that'd be awesome. Not having to worry about bills, money, school, work, etc. :|

Thanks OP

Occasional traveling, but mostly doing comedy related things. Basically, what I'm doing now except I wouldn't be so broke!

If you weren't broke, what would be different? Would you just dress better, go to better restaurants, buy more expensive toys?

I'm sure I'd buy more things, but I feel pretty content right now (My phone, laptop, and tablet are all less than a year old). Maybe get the AC in my car fixed, move to a nice one bedroom apartment, and hire a personal trainer just so exercising is more effective, but aside from those things, I'd still spend most of my time on the internet or doing comedy things.

Being able to sleep in every day would probably be one of the best parts, though.

Also, financial security for my immediate family too if I can spend money on others.

Have a lot of sex, drink, and write.

If I still had the option to work I would like to be involved with film production, not sure if I would do Hollywood but with unlimited time + resources I would like to be Involved with something or fund my own.

Probably would read and work out a lot more.

If I were the only one being able to do this, then I would...
- Volunteer my ass off for the community (it's good and it also gives me a psuedo-job and consumes my time)
- Travel the world
- Travel the world to watch local/national sporting events
- Have sex with my wife like a filthy beast

If I didn't have to work? I'd learn more. Self-improvement. Be creative - make things for people. Sigh...

INSTEAD I WORK AND I AM BITTER.

I would have a house in every major city in the US.

I'd travel all the time everywhere and anywhere with a partner and I'd record everything.

Devote more time to self improvement, reading, and illustration. I'd probably get seriously started on experimenting with the craft of book length comics.

Also, play more JRPGs.

Write, 2 chicks at the same time, hang out on the internet all day.

Probably gonna do only one of the above for the most part.

I'd buy my family a house, buy myself a house, kit it out with amazing audio equipment and every possible games console possible. Once I'd done that, I would buy a Transit Van and become a delivery driver because I would get bored and I love driving.

traveling of course, but i would find some way to work. i don't think i could enjoy life without setting my mind to some task.

i would find some job, sure, but I would also work on my eccentric maze mansion that i've always dreamed of. Just a veritable labyrinth of passageways and hallways and rooms, each room itself having secret passageways that lead to all manner of cool feature from dusty libraries to awesome arcades. After I die, I would dedicate the mansion to charity and allow them to charge simple fees to allow people to walk through the mansion and visit it. It would become a tourist destination.

Lots of exercise, boxing, golf, video games, and reading that I never seem to be able to catch up on. Travelling with the wife as well..Costa Rica, Rome, etc. Man that would be nice.

Personal chef, personal trainer, private plane, crazy large apartments/houses all over, start an animal shelter, new socks every day.

I would go back home and take my music thing more seriously.
And sleep. A lot of sleep. Like... all the time. I'm way too lazy...

It makes me feel bad seeing how much more the rest of GAF aspires to do with their lives. And I'm just happy with sleeping.

Workout. Get back into jujitsu and try for a black belt. Hike the entire Appalachian Trail. Travel the world seeing concerts. Read.

I would be a traveling scholar. Going around the world learning by doing and meeting with all kinds of scientists and researchers.

Knowledge is power, so I must be a stereotypical villain or something.
