Huh? GB Micro Price Drop - $89.99

The thing about Target $99 DS is this...

There's an upcoming Mario Kart DS bundle that's $150. If DS dropped to 99, that would make that 150 package extremely expensive. (Although at the current 129 pricepoint, 150 for the bundle is a bargain)

all of the bundles include limited edition colors. if it was a silver DS in the bundles I would say you are right, but the fact remains that the colors in the bundles are unavailable outside of the bundles.

I actually prefer the DS for GBA gaming. The stereo speakers are a big plus, and the display is much larger than the micro. Also, it plays Mario Kart DS. :)

I think between the DS and the GBA SP NES edition AND the Game Boy Player, I have the GBA pretty much covered, thanks. (Especially since the GBA is winding down.)

Might get a backlit SP for all my old GB/GBC carts, tho.

I really don't see the DS dropping to $99.99 before Christmas. It just doesn't make any sense with the bundle releasing at the MSRP it is.

That said, we'll likely see it in the Spring. Metroid Hunters + Dongle + DS = $150?

That's exactly what I have

I thought I was done for GBA gaming after Gunstar Super Heroes though. Now there's still:

Castlevania 2-Pack (never played Aria or Harmony)
Final Fantasy IV (never played)
Final Fantasy V (never played)
Final Fantasy VI (loved so much I'd buy it again)
Tales of Phantasia (couldn't finish)
Mother 3 (Please come out in the US. Please, please, please)

So... 6 games, although only one is really new. Still, more than I anticipated. I'd like them to do a portable Chrono Trigger too, but SE seems to have completely forgotten about the franchise.

Certainly more worth it now than when it was at $99. ;)
I paid like a 140 for my famicom one. No regrets, I enjoy it very much. Probably played it more already than my old gba and gba sp combined.

Well, assuming the DS costs less than $99 to manufacture (and that's not that ridiculous a notion), it would probably be in Nintendo's best interest to slash the price now, sell out or come close over Christmas, and then find themselves with a vastly increased install base. And with the PSP looking like it'll have an excellent Christmas, if Nintendo can somehow increase their lead, that'd probably look really good in the yes of developers/publishers still on the fence.

Just a quick note:

This $90 price tag for the GB Micro at EB is only temporary, as this sale price is only for a limited time. The price will go back to to $100 in a couple of weeks.

Well snapsters.

Famicom ships on the 29th, I have one pre-ordered. Does the price apply to that one as well? If so, that's very cool and is icing on the cake for me.

Plus all the stuff they haven't announced yet: Mario RPG, Earthbound...

Does that mean the Famicom version on 12/5 will be 99.99?
It is supposed to come with a $10 coupon for Puzzle League.

Finally a must-have app, and a reason to buy a Micro.
