First tragedy, then farce.
I thought Angels in America came out over a year ago..

really too bad, Most Def kicked ass in something the lord made (so did Rickman), but had no prayer. Pacino was just too good.

Oh well, at least something the lord made won something. Wonderfull movie.

Floor Meeting kept me from seeing the Daily Show sketch...which sucked. But I did get to see The Race win. WOO! Two in a row! Suck it down, Trump!

I'm SO FUCKING TIRED of Janney and the West Wing. Garner and Garber and becoming Luccis damnit!

I enjoyed how the 'cut off your speech now' music didn't play for Pacino.

LOL I was thinking the same thing. I was like I wonder if they are going to cut him off like they did that other group.

I'm dying here...

Conan O'Brien: "It's too bad Joan Rivers couldn't be here...she's outside protesting high definition television."

YES!!!!

AD getting best comedy series. Thats awesome for them. Now all we need is for FOX to cancel this and it will be like every other good sitcom

Oh man, FOX must be feeling pretty good about themselves. They give a show that nobody watched a chance and it wins them an Emmy. We'll see if 24 can make it a FOX sweep...that would be sad, although I love 24, because FOX on the whole sucks ass.

Damnit. I like it better when the Sopranos is on Hiatus.

Scrubs got robbed for the writing award but at least it got robbed by a great show like Arrested Development. BTW, the fact that none of the Scrubs actors were nominated is such a fucking tragic joke that it makes me sick.

I think to be nominated you have to submit your name to the Academy of TV arts and Sciences, and then from there, if you get enough votes u get nominated, and then you have to get the votes to win. So if nobody on Scrubs submitted their names then they obviously think they dont have what it takes to win a statue.

I'm glad to see AD won best sitcom. I love the show, and I can't believe Fox was considering canceling it. It's the funniest, more intelligent sitcom I've seen in a while.

So happy about AD. Pimped it since the first episode, and it just kept getting better and better. :D Really disappointed for James and Edie but at least Michael and Drea finally won their well-deserved awards.

On a lighter note, who knew Mary-Lousie Parker's boobs were so amazing? I about popped a boner from her dress. Someone with a Mr. Skin account find out if she has been naked in a movie, stat!

Don't have to look that hard to see Ms. Parker in the buff. In part 2 of Angels In America you get to see everything.

Missed the whole show but glad to hear some of the stuff I like was nominated/won.

Daily Show deserved to win the emmy. It's consistantly funny and current. Chapelle's Show is consistantly terrible.

Arrested Development is this year's charity case. A better-than-average sitcom that's grossly overrated by some. It doesn't deserve the poor ratings it gets, but Curb Your Enthusiasm or Scrubs would have been the superior choice for best sitcom.

The Daily Show gets a well-deserved win over Chapelle's fluff-ridden show. The Daily Show guys are out there almost every weeknight, making with the laughs. Chapelle still can't provide consistent humor despite the fact that he only does a handful of episodes that are chock full of filler material (pointless monologues/sketch introductions, musical guests). He hits a lot of high notes but it's divided up by so much time-consuming nonsense. Television is a medium that is very driven by fresh content, so I think it's only fair that The Daily Show gets a nod over some 11-episodes-every-18-months sketch comedy.
