I caught a nasty one when I went to Italy back in October. It sent me to the dr after 2 weeks of feeling like shit. First time a cold forced me to medical care in a long time. Hang in there, go see the doc if needed. Drink fluid, eat chicken soup, gargle saltwater, rest and watch Pokemon on loop.

I had a nasty one last year, by the time it was done with me I'd lost a stone in weight. Nothing this year though thankfully.

Welcome to my life since 3 weeks. Got the nastiest cold since 2019. Coughing, nose running and my right ear is not hearing anything. Started just the week before Christmas with fever. Kid is coughing as well. I can’t even remember the last time I have felt good.

Got my flu vaccine a few months ago. Its worth doing, doesn’t take much time. But since you’re already sick:

- humidifier for your nasal condition
- caldo (aka chicken soup) snd crackers to provide easiky digestible sustenance
- honey and lime/lemon for sore throat
- rest. Room should be dark. Use damp towel on head if needed.
- Lots of liquids. Room temperature sprite/water. If you’re going to the restroom a lot then gatorade for electrolytes.

Can’t help ya if you have a cough. Drops work sometimes, other times they don’t. Sometimes I’ll get a cough that lasts over a month.

Holy shit to feel like this for 3 weeks? I think I would actually die no joke.

All I have is coke zero, I need to ask someone to bring me some stuff, I can't get out of bed even if my life depended on it.
Thank you!

Either influenza or Covid. Covid for me caused a much worse cough (dry hacking). Influenza causes more weakness, muscle aches. Covid had a longer tail then influenza cough lasted weeks.

Probably the flu, I have fever, my throat is killing me and the shivering won’t stop.

Is this what dying feels like? 🛌🤒

I haven’t felt this bad in years.

Allow your body to take care of you. Drink water and eat something if you can. Otherwise just rest and the immune system will deal with it. Though I have noticed that if I keep my nasal cavities clear from snot, with the help of a spray, it keeps me from feeling like my head's gonna burst and even keeps fever away sometimes. Good luck!

Ginger ale (Vernors), spicy chicken noodle soup, Theraflu, throat spray, cough drops was my go to. And a flu shot every year. I hope you get well soon!

Outside of a doctor visit and in addition to what Sybrix and Sub_Human recommended I would also advise Oil of Oregano and Black Seed Oil capsules. A six per day (2 at breakfast, 2 at lunch and 2 at dinner) dosage of capsules for Oil of Oregano for two - three days and two capsules of Black Seed Oil in the same timeframe. Get also as much liquid and vitamin C as you can as well.

I had the flu that wouldn't go away and those basically beat the shit out of it in two days (felt the difference after the first day too). The only other remaining issue was respiratory that needed Prednisone to strengthen the lungs.

Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?
My roommate has been stuck in her room for about a day and a half and I have not seen her come out to eat.

She just came out of her room about 10 minutes ago and told me she's had a fever and has been trying to sleep it off for the past day and a half.

I also have a friend in San Diego who is getting over a fever.

Now I'm worried I might get something and I wanted to do something for New Year's Eve.

So yeah, op Kar Kar there is definitely something going around.

I literally just got over something myself. Went to bed yesterday at 7pm, and was puking every 30 minutes for most of the night. Was able to keep down some popsicles and ice cubes after midnight, and by morning I was able to drink.

What's crazy is that I've must've had 40+ ounces of water at least since I woke up this morning. Still haven't peed. I must've been dehydrated from all the vomiting.

I caught RSV last year and was sick for a month, when I finally began coughing up green stuff, I went to my doctor and learned I developed pneumonia. They put me on doxycycline (antibiotic) and a steroid. I got better quickly after that.

I haven't gotten that sick since, but after that illness whenever I began to feel the early stages of a viral respiratory illness, I started taking Vitamin C 1000 mg, Cold-eeze zinc lounges, Vitamin D3, and Magnesium Malate and drinks lots of water and it tends to just go away after a couple of days. I think the zinc lounges help a lot.
