I just want to save myself the headache and just get the Japanese version since I know it's easier. But does it have the same voice acting? I heard the cinemas are really good and even funny, so I don't want to miss out on the jokes.

Also, I know an easy mode is unlockable in the US version. Is that level of difficulty on par with the normal setting on the Japanese version, or just easier. And will playing on easy result in the real ending?

You can turn all the settings to English. All the voice acting, menus, everything. There are Normal and Easy difficulty settings from the get-go.
