it says its compatible with cases with room for 80mm fan receptacles.... what do those look like. Also, if I dont have one... what can I do about this?

The blueish thing-a-majig is the fan receptacles. Those are put in cases that dont have the holes to screw in the fans, your case should have one or the other and sometimes both.
