Those fuckers have been charging my Credit Card $20 dollars a month (total 80 dollars) ever since January. Apparently I somehow signed up to their website. I remember clearly that I put all of my information in, and that I changed my mind at the last second, and canceled the subscribtion.

I just found out today that they have been charging me 20 dollars every month. I canceled my account. And there is no way I can contact them. They don't have any emails, phone numbers. I am fucking pissed off.

Anyone else here hate Netflix??

Sheesh, was there something bullshitty going on or did you not check your card for 4 months? I can't go more than a week without checking mine...

If they were charging him 20 bucks a month and not even sending him the fucking movies it's definitely Netflix he should be hating.

You probably forgot to click on the confirm button :lol

<3 Netflix

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Netflix doesn't start billing you unless you tell them to. And of course, you have to give them your credit card info to begin with. If you managed to get that far, you should probably double-check to make sure you didn't tell them to start charging you.

They didn't send him any movies because he didn't tell them to. But he must have told them to start billing him and just didn't cancel out of it like he thought he did. He should probably hate himself.

He never had movies in his queue, cause he didn't realize he was signed up!

Assuming there was never a single movie in his queue for 4 months of "membership" then it shouldn't be hard to clear up assuming he can get in contact with someone.

If NetFlix refunds him, I'd chalk that up as a loss for humanity.

Interesting.
Why should NetFlix lose their money because their customer never used the account they signed up for?
Four months passed and he never noticed he was being billed? I don't know about you guys but I pay my credit card bills monthly, so I always know what's up. I guess automated payments could be set up, but why wouldn't you check your card statement? I guess I'm just worried about potential fraud.

Common courtesy my ass. Put responsibility back in the hands of the consumers.

I quickly glance over my credit card bill when I pay it off each month but since it is only $20 I imagine my eyes would have just glazed over it. Mostly I just take a look at anything thats over $100 and see if the charge makes sense to me.

Also, I would expect if you contact them they would refund you. Netflix should have contacted him when they found he wasn't using his account, or, at a minimum, send him a random popular movie if he hadn't picked anything out himself.

if someone signs up for a service, and then never uses it for months, ever, not a single time, something is obviously wrong.

My view is it was an honest mistake. A stupid one? Maybe. Yeah, he should have checked his credit statement. But I also think it's ridiculous to think he deserves to pay 80 bucks for such a small mistake. If he does then whatever-- lesson learned. But I wouldn't say Netflix has a squeaky clean track record either.

I like it when people are nice to me. Everyone makes mistakes.
I like niceness too, but I just don't see the obligation in this case.
And sure, everyone makes mistakes but very few learn by them anymore.

Hardly, but that's neither here nor there.

Well unless you rented anything you just kindly talk to a CS person. They will either give you a full refund or comp you 4 months. Just be really nice.

Man oh man...

1) Does not check credit card statement for four months.

2) Angry at Netflix for charging him for a service he signed up for and was too lazy or lacking internet competence to make sure the cancellation went through properly.

3) So lazy and or lacking internet competence that he was unable to figure out how to contact Netflix, a puzzle I solved in less than fifteen seconds using their website.

Would anyone blame Netflix for keeping the money at this point? :P
