well i got $500 in the bank and i want to make that shit grow. what's the best way to make that money grow in the long run? i have the day off tomorrow and i was thinkin of goin to the bank and ask them waht should i do iwth the money. im tired of gettin pennies every fuckin year on my savings account....

I think a CD has a rate of like 2% APR or something. That is a good rate, too.

I'm not sure of anything beyond that. Infact, I'm not even 100% on that.

Reminds me of a joke one of my profs made. So we were discussing Viagra, and how it puts you at risk of stroke (due to decreased blood pressure via vasodilation IIRC; the vasodilation in your dick is what allows an erection).

Anyway, he pauses and says, "Well, yeah sometimes I like to say - 'Viagra, leads to stroke and penile erection.'"

Nobody laughed.

You're not going to find many savings accounts (outside of Internet-based ones) that give you any meaningful interest rate with that amount of cash. A CD is probably your best bet.
