Anyone know? I really have no particular preference as to what aspect I want in my camera over another, I just want the best DV camera I can get for street $700. Right now, I’m leaning towards the Panasonic PV-GS200, everything I have read about it has been great, the only thing holding me back is I sort of want a matchbook camera, but not if I have to sacrifice picture quality, control, or anything else to a harsh degree. Any help would be appreciated.

Do it, the 3CCD is a huge step and the still picture quality is decent (the 4x6 and 8x11 look suprisingly great). Plus you can record in true widescreen. Sony's cameras get the edge in ease of use for me, but nothing matches the picture quality. If you want better the price will jump exponentially.
