It's on the musial history of NYC, mainly focusing on 'rock' from The Velvet Underground to now... and the social causes of all the different scenes. I chose the topic myself, I should be done with this already!

I have the books and everything, it's just going about writing it...

isnt that too broad of a topic to have a focused paper? Could be wrong but thats just my opinion of course.

Hey, it's been over an hour since you started this thread. Have you written anything yet? Get off the web, get off AIM or whatever else you might have on, and START WRITING.

The internet is way too big of a distraction.

I used to put on DVDs in the background while I wrote, but if I found myself watching the movie I turned it off.

The paper is 15 pages double spaced, right? Write it in 12.5-13 point font single spaced first, put LOTS of quotes in, and you'll be surprised how fast you can get it done. Concentration is definitely the hardest part, but remember that you have everything you need in front of you; all that's left do is to write it all down.

I have started writing. I can't get off of the web, because I'll need to keep referencing sites such as allmusic.com . GAF is sort of distracting me, though.. :lol , . I have some music on in the background. I should be able to finish...

-Get all the research you need OFF the website(s) and paste the text into notepad with the source of where they came from.

-GET THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS FORUM. Unplug your internet cable if you have to.

I don't want to see you posting here until you have that paper finished tomorrow.

The joys of 15+ page High School term papers and waiting til the last minute to finish them....and still getting a 90% but getting knocked down to an 85% for not correctly citing a fucking source.

I usually write papers the night before and the morning of. BUT I do continual research well before so I know the subject inside/out, have a rough structure of the paper, and have many notes to transfer easily. Sounds like you haven't done the research either, though. I wouldn't want to be in your shoes.

Back in the pre-google days, this would have been a breeze!!!! OMG... How google has ruined paper writing.

When I was a Sr. in HS, and a Jr. in college, I used to cut and paste entire articles from the web and corrolate them into a readable thesis, (or whatever I was responsible for at the time). It always resulted in A's. Now, all a teach has to do is plug a sentence from your paper into Google to see if you plagerised. Sucks to be you if you're caught. The school system treats plagerism like attempted murder nowadays. Yeah I felt kinda guilty doing it, but oh well, I was young and stupid then. :lol

The only time I plagiarized a paper, it was this long-ass preface to a book that I was supposed to read by Jane Austen. I typed it out by hand and got a B-. :lol
