I reserved my X360 on sept 26th and I have a code on the bill that I wonder what it means:

XB360 HW LATE

The EB guy told me that I would get my machine on the 2nd shipment (which is bullsh*t) so I wonder if the LATE in the code means that it would be a reservation for anything after the first shipment.

Anyone can inform me please?

Haha no, it has nothing to do with your position in "line". For some reason when we first got the 360 skus, they came in as "XB360 HW CORE" and XB360 HW LATE". no clue why, makes no sense at all, but thats all it means.

The actual 100% correct reason is that when we officially stopped taking pre orders for the 'first' shipment and about 2 weeks later were told to take additional preorders for the 'second' shipment(s) they changed the description so the store personell could tell from the reciept which shipment you were told you were ordering for. Which of course is moot since all EB stores are getting roughly 1/2 of the units on the 22nd that were presold for the 'first' shipment. Thx Microsoft

Don't matter, just know that it doesn't mean you're in second shipment. Just go down there at midnight, or whenever they do the selling......and pick it up.

And always concerning my pre-order. They (EB) tell me that I'm gonna be on the second batch. Can I say bullshit to that, present myself at the store the 22nd and claim what I paid? (X360 Premium System)

Odd that I have a LATE reciept too and I'm first on my store's list, having reserved the day after E3....

Yep, me too (god I hate me too posts, generally). I'm the first pre-order at my local store, and my paid off receipt says "LATE".

To be 100% honest, I'm 2nd, as the store's manager was first. He also took my pre-order before he was officially set up, SKU wise. (Basically, he took a deposit on Quake IV for the "XBox 2" and then converted it to a Premium bundle as soon as the SKUs were in the system)

My store is doing a Midnight opening - but they're rather concerned that alot of people are going to show up just thinking they can pick a system up, which won't be amusing.

My store's allocation is 12 Premium / 4 Core, btw. This is a VERY low volume store.. they just don't do much business, basically because they are surrounded by Gamestops and due to city regulations, they really can't have any major signage on the outside of the shopping center.
