It was in my backyard (which is like a big forest). I thought it was the neighbour's cat from a distance, and my dog was freaking out at it, so I went to take a look, and the fucker bit my hand. I kicked it and it ran away.

What the hell is a bobcat doing in the city?

Did it look like this?

Bobcat or Manx? I betting Manx.

I don't know. I assumed it looked like a bobcat. What's a manx, I better look it up.

I've been bitten by plenty of different animals before, so I'm not worried.

So it just ran up to you and bit your hand?

It looked like a cat from behind. I got closer, and it turned around. It didn't look like a cat anymore but it didn't look threatening. It looked like a small lynx, with a weird "mustache". I'm not that smart with animals, I've always assumed that I don't look like a danger to them. I tried to pet a squirrel many years ago. Those fuckers bite really hard.

It takes about a week to die of rabies. If you think you've got a fever, get to the hospital asap. Unless you have to pay for a new transmission for your car, then take car of that first. :P

could've been worst

....

It's "worse". Could have been "WORSE". I mean COME ON.

I can't count the number of times I have seen this (don't mean to single you out jobber). A cat dies everytime one of you does this.

STOP
IT
.

Carry on (yeah I realize this is *just* a message board, but for the love of grammar...).

If he had a fever he would die anyway and it often takes MUCH longer for rabies to manifest itself. Basically since you don't have a dead bobcat to give them you have 2 choices. Get the vaccine now or just don't. The chances of the bobcat having rabies are quite small and transmission through a small hand bite is minimal unless the animal was showing signs of rabies, but its up to you to risk it.

oh and bobcat =

LOLZ

I didn't have my "coffee" then. I've been sleepwalking the whole day but thank you. I shall correct this travesty of the english language. I apologize to everyone offended by my grammatical error.

Looking at the picture in the thread, it was definitely a bobcat, but the animal was definitely a bit smaller than my dog (irish setter).

My hand's fine, thanks for the tag I guess :/

I saw a bobcat in my back yard a couple years ago maybe I should go look for him with my dog. You guys think an American Staffordshire terrier could take one ?

Yeah looking at the thread title I thought you were run over and typing it from hospital.

Then I read that it bit you, and thought that's strange. :lol
