I love Norm Macdonald. What a legend!

This guy. He is the funniest comedian ever. There is something about his rambling, meandering, incoherent, old English stories that just gets me tripping. And he does seem genuinely smart underneath all that. You could give this guy the most boring story ever and he will still make it funny. Also, I dont know the Clintons did to him but by God does he go after them! Love this man.

His podcast -- hard to find now that Netflix bought the rights, only to bury the actual episodes -- is among the best comedy I've ever seen. Just watch -- if you can find it -- the first episode with Super Dave.

The Netflix show that followed, Norm Macdonald has a show, killed what made the podcast great.
 
He's been killing it on Mike Tyson Mysteries the last couple years.
 
Just curious, for you guys who find Norm funny, do you find yourself laughing at other comedian's material, on a regular basis? I enjoy comedy, but I find myself smiling, rather than laughing, when I hear a joke. With Norm, I laugh.

There's a few other comedians that I find myself laughing, like Chapelle, but's its rare. Is this a common trait among Norm fans?

I agree. The David spade episode was still pretty good, though, but yeah, his show suffered from the Netflix deal.

Yes, Norm is the only one who makes me laugh out loud: it's his choice of words, his old-grizzled-guy persona, his un-PC-ness, etc. But add to that true intelligence, real knowledge about comedy history, etc.
 
Norm really is a legend.

When I was a kid Norm's weekend update was some of the best stuff around. The guy truly does not give a shit who he pissed off, it was always in the name of comedy.


This compilation always gets me. There's another one with all the Michael Jackson jokes that also kills.
 
I never thought he was very funny myself.

He has his moments in movies he has been in but that's about it. When he would do the news on Saturday night live I'd flip channels for a couple minutes, his standup isn't very funny and I think his talk show stuff is boring.
 
He's the man I've been a fan since he was doing the news in the 90s.

His roast of Bob Saget is all time great. Totally clean and no swears but still so funny!
