who likes Bound 2 unironically...not the music video (I think it's meh) but the song itself is a great example of utilizing variety of samples with perfect transitions

it's unfortunate the music video is terrible as it adds unnecessary criticism to the track -- when really it should be judged independently.

You're the ONLY ONE out of just the 195,716 who clicked the "I like this" button to do so unironically? Let alone, the only person out of 7+ billion in the entire world to unironically like the song?

i don't go around reading on youtube...last i remember (couple years ago) there was universal dislike.

anyway wasn't being literal, it's statistically impossible so relax.

i really like that song, and i know a lot of people that also like it who are not even kanye west fans, so yeah, you are not alone

Thought this was gonna be a weird delusional thread. Disappointed.

I was kind of hoping that this would be a deep philosophical thread in which the OP believed that he was the only person that actually existed and that the rest of us were illusions created by his mind.

"Wanna fuck you hard on the sink/
After that get you something to drink"

Beautiful. But me and you and the other posters so far are probably the only ten or so people who like it OP.

i thought even those that didn't like Yeezus liked this song because it was the most like a throwback Kanye track...

I've never got the whole "I must be the only one..." thing.

I understand that it's a figure of speech and that (I hope most of the time) it's not said literally, but still, it baffles me how mighty that need to be "the only one" can be.

I mean, I must be the only one who thinks like that.

Yes you are the only one in the world who likes a song by multi million record selling Kanye West unironically. Are these "only in the world" threads done ironically? Im starting to think so

I don't get this kinda music, literally more than 55% of the song is samples and melodies done by other artists that have nothing to do with the guy rapping on top of them, and those songs independently sounded great in their original form. Not saying mixing rap with them sounds like ass, It does have some neat "transitions" sure.

But every time I hear the Kanye song, I tend to look for the original tunes and listen to them instead. Can hip-hop be at least 60% original?

Am I suppose to see this song the equivalent of this? Because I am not.

worst song on yeezus. felt like it didn't belong on the album either.

I really liked it, but it absolutely does not fit with the rest of he album. It's like "Nude Beach a go go " on Azealia Banks' BWET. Campy, out of place song on an otherwise good album.

Except altering those sounds and mixing them together creates something new and different. I hate when rappers take a pop song that's barley been out 6 months, rip out the vocals and rap over it with no changes to the music itself. Now that's hot garbage that I'd consider unoriginal. Kanye for the most part comes original.

*cough* Asap Rocky *cough*

I like the song and all it's imperfect weirdness. It also annoys me a lot that so many people seem to think Kanye sampled/ripped Charlie Wilson's chorus from Sigma's Nobody to Love, while it's actually the other way around.

Great track imo.

I never understood Kanye stans who claimed it was like Kanye "trolling" fans of his old albums or something. Anyone who says that is way way too deep into the Ye-verse.

It makes sense if you think about the fans clamoring for BRING BACK OLD SOULFUL KANYE and then drops Bound 2, an unrefined use of a sample.

I personally think that Ye should keep on keepin' on. People who want to hear College Dropout done 6 different ways are crazy people.

I'm not gonna get into Kanye cycle #5823, but I just don't think Kanye would put a track he thinks is trash on his album. That's just nonsense from fans imo.

If Kanye's best success can be measured by being different and causing reaction, Bound 2 fits the bill perfectly.

I think it's great music that's dressed down and undersold by its video.

The live performance on Fallon was much better than the album version, IMO. The live DJ made the difference.
