The comments in this thread are quite embarrassing.

I'll be 40 in May (born in 1986), which means I've lived through all the eras of video games... from the glorious, true Master Race era to every console released.

People are complaining that the PlayStation 5 doesn't have any games. Excuse me?

I get the feeling that some people spend 12 hours a day playing and devouring video games, so I can understand why it's impossible for such an insatiable gamer to ever be satisfied, even if they release 10 exclusives a year...

I don't have a family or a wife, but I do have a job and other hobbies besides the video games I love, and sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the number of games I still haven't played on the PlayStation 5.

My backlog is piling up, and I have to give absolute priority to the ones I know I love... and then work my way down the rest.

When the PlayStation 5 generation ends (which is going to be a long one), I'll probably need a PlayStation 6 to play the PlayStation 5 games I didn't have time for.

Then, of course, I'll hear the "I won't buy a PlayStation 6" meme, which I've been hearing since the PlayStation 3...

When the PlayStation 6 launches, this thread will be utterly shameful, always highlighted by those same people who have been predicting the death of PlayStation since the PlayStation 3, and yet here we are... even though the PC purists are on the forums 24/7 telling us how stupid we are for playing on consoles.

If you exclusively want AAA games from Sony or Microsoft I can see why you would be disappointed. But overall I thought this gen had a lot of great games to play, with several really pushing the bar in terms of visual fidelity as well. Although that visual fidelity push has mostly been on the PC side of things thanks to PT.

Sounds maybe stupid but I really hope that we get next gen as late as possible.
Most of the devs just started to leave behind last gen...
I mean even games like Forza Horizon 5, Motorsport 8 and GT7 are still cross gen!
This wa probably the slowest move to the current gen ever...


I really think we still have not seen what these consoles could do, if they optimize it like in the past.

Additionally I do not know, what benefits newer console would give us expect a bit higher fps and resolution.
PS5 Pro is already at a performance/price level, which is for an console pretty high..

Somehow we are missing the console magic here...
